Our Vision

Sand Springs Recreational Center has a new vision for this wonderful community resource.  While preserving its historic character and charm, we plan to make it more than just a place to swim.  Elements of our vision include:

• Lowering the membership fees to make it more accessible to the general public than in the past;
• Offering scholarships to the Samuelson Swim Academy for Williamstown kids who would otherwise not have access;
• Creating a true community gathering place;
• Establishing the Samuelson Swim Academy, named for long-time Williams College Swim Coach Carl Samuelson and his wife, Nancy.

The combination of all these elements will greatly enhance the inherent natural beauty and therapeutic qualities of this Williamstown treasure.
